I am completely new to Ubuntu and to Mono.
I installed Ubuntu via the synaptic package manager. I created a new solution and am attempting to compile it. It is a blank project. I am getting the following warnings and error. I checked the path and the file seems to be there....CUT... /home/bob/Projects/test/test/MainWindow.cs(7,7): Error CS0246: The type or namespace name `Gtk' could not be found. Are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference? (CS0246) (test)
It seems that you don't have included the necessary reference on the project; take a look at how you created the project: you have to select a new GTK project: this make monodevelop to include all necessary references that you later find under the References folder on your solution.
