Hello all, I'm quite new to GNOME and GTK# an want to build a small GNOME panel applet. There isn't much information about how to do that. I found a small example on the web [1] and tried to follow those instructions.
So I created a .server file, derived from PanelApplet class and so on. After logging in again (yes, that seems to be necessary), GNOME was aware of my applet. But trying to start it, it crashes with an expressionless error. Even the source from [1] crashes the same way. Furthermore, I don't know how to debug this since I have to start it outside of MonoDevelop. Maybe you can give me a hint how to get started with panel applets and how to debug them.
