Duncan has done this quite a while ago:

sim...@nun:/srv/code/gtk2hs$ darcs show repo
           Type: darcs
         Format: hashed
           Root: /srv/code/gtk2hs
       Pristine: HashedPristine
          Cache: thisrepo:/srv/code/gtk2hs
Default Remote: /srv/code/gtk2hs
    Num Patches: 2208

...which is why I didn't reply to your last email about this. I  
thought you'd notice. I don't know what you have to do to get a hashed  
version of your local repos but I assumed this would be automatic.
