Maybe it is a stupid answer, but check the desktop settings, and try to change the pixel depth to 24 bit (16m colours) if it is not this way already.

2006/5/31, Jonathan Brandmeyer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
I'm having trouble getting pixmap rendering to work on Win32.  The
pixmap demo itself is failing with:

(pixmap.exe: 332): GdkGLExt-WARNING **: cannot set pixel format
(pixmap.exe: 332): GdkGLExt-WARNING **: cannot create GdkGLPixmap

I instrumented win32/gdkglpixmap-win32.c:gdk_gl_pixmap_new()  to print
the error code with GetLastError.  It returned 1: "Incorrect function."

Any ideas?

Thanks,
-Jonathan Brandmeyer

PS: Running GtkGLExt 1.2; Windows XP Home; Radeon 9800.
