It is great news you have been able to easily achieve migration from
Gtk+ 2 to Gtk+ 3. I will look at your code as soon as possible.
I do not really know how to push this work back to official repository.
The former GtkGLExt developer team does not seem to have time to do this
anyway. Maybe we should try and find some people who are willing to
help, and get in touch with Gtk+ main team. Hoping no one will get
offended in doing this.
I may volunteer for this, if I am not alone.
