I have no problem with make check doing something new, but I don't want to
disable building of the tests during the normal build. A failure is more likely
to be caught if they are always built.

Please reopen this if you really need this change for some reason.

Thanks. Fixed in svn trunk.

Note that the default constructor does something very different. get_default()
is the actual equivalent of name="" with that constructor.
