Oh, now that I think about it, daniel's fix should probably to be applied to
the original fix in 2-12 as well.

This is breaking jhbuild for me too. Looks like some interaction between
glib/glibmm/Makefile.am and glib/src/Makefile.am and the .hg files there. I
don't know enough about this to propose a fix though.

Pushed to master so no one else has to re-implement the fixes. I can revert it
if it should not be committed.

I'm not an expert at using const but I thought that:
- since the reference to the TreeModel may be modified, the const should be
removed
- since I don't know if the parent function continues to use the reference
after the call to these functions, it's better to make a copy of the reference
and not to use the same, so if it gets modified it doesn't influence the parent
function. So I removed the & too
Would it be better to leave them there?
