Currently there is no base64 support in Glibmm, and you need to use
glib for it. It has to be quite easy.

You will probably need only encode and decode routines.
I believe that wrapping them can be quite easy. If no one has the time
to do it, I could do it,
if anyone can send me a link to the developers guidelines and policies
for glibmm, I'll be glad
to do it.
