Hi,
I think that the blinking cursor is a system-wide setting. You may want
to connect callbacks to the focus-in and focus-out signals and change
the entry's frame color to highlight the currently selected entry.

Also I created a gtk entry inside a gtk message dialog but for some
reason I could not write anything into that entry box. But it works
with a dialog box.
