If you're experienced with the apt tools, programs like apt-file can help you find which package contains a file. However, in this case Google is an easier option. Searching for libgnomedbmm ubuntu the first hit was https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/345175 which is a bug report asking for the library to be packaged for Ubuntu. The report is still open, so it looks like you're stuck compiling from source... Rupert
