Kinda sorta... It does say "recommended" and there are instances of
inspection for leaks and cracks and a replacement if damage is found. I'm
not aware of the cost of all these hoses, but replacing them every two
years would tend to get expensive. Sounds like you out to get with your
dealer and show him that page (6-23), I only found it by accident and then
had trouble finding it again. Also, my local dealer told me he had a
manual but I discovered they were using the parts fiche to reassemble my
bike--no wonder they left out parts!! The other caveat is that I don't
have any updates which might have occured after I purchased the manual
