Hey,
you just need the detector and the cigarette adapter that comes with it.
Cut the cig adapter off the end and strip about an 1/8" or so of the
insulation. Divide the wires for about two or three inches. Run the wire
under the plastic on the right side of the windscreen and dash to the right
running light. Push the bare wire into the plastic connector far enough to
make contact. Tape the wires in place with electrical tape after you check
to see that the detector comes on when the key is on.

The detector should be able to be removed and put in the glove box when you
leave the bike, and plugged back in and attached to the mounting bracket
again when you return.

Later,

:-) Ed
