Guys,
I have noticed that there is a gap of about 3mm between the inner side of
the throttle grip and the rest of the handle bar. Sitting in this gap is
what appears to be a large black plastic washer, with an outer diameter of
perhaps 1.5 to 2 inches. The outer rim of this unit is smooth, but the inner
ring seams to be "Irregularly Castled". At the moment it is free to spin
around and slide up and down between the throttle grip and the handlebar
stop, where the front brake reservoir is.
What is this "Large Washer", what does it do, and should it be lose!
My bike is up for its 6K Km service very soon so I can get a "professional"
(Ha Ha Ha), to look at it if required.
