Guys,

I asked the folks at K&N if they plan to make a Power Commander II for the
GTS1000. There reply is included below. I want one of these units, as even
with all the tweaks that I have taken off this list, I still find that 1st
and 2nd gear are a bugger between 3K and 4K rpm. Any more bright ideas?

For those of you planning a trip to the IOM in 2001, I would love to join
you if you have room for another GTS in your group. My reasons for this are
simple

1) My family moved there in 1980.
2) Half off them still live there..including 4 of my 5 brothers. ( Be
afraid.. they range from 18 to 4.5 yrs old)
3) I have taken the GTS round the circuit a couple of times, and it is just
the best ride ever.

When I first passed my bike test 2 years ago, I was introduced to one of
the TT race marshals, and spent a frantic afternoon trying to catch him on
his jetted VTR1000. (I was on my 1st bike, a Suzuki GSX600F, with about 2
months experience behind me).

Anyone on this list in GB? I just got my insurance renewal notice at
?655.00 TPFT!!!!! This is through Carol-Nash. Any recommendations. Since my
bike was imported specially into the UK several brokers won't touch it.

And finally.. after only 5K miles my Chain ( cleaned and lubed after every
ride) has developed tight and slack sections. How bad can this get before I
need to change things, and is there a measurement I can do to check my
chain, to find out exactly how bad things are. Also, can anyone recommend a
brand of chain that might last me a bit longer.

Regards,,

David Evans

David,
due to the low production of the GTS1000 we have no plans to produce a PCII
for it.
