I just use a regular auto jack (hydralic) under the front swingarm,
cushioned with a piece of wood. As long as it is on the center stand, it
works fine and is very stable. You are only lifting about 50-75 lbs like
that, and with the load spread across with the wood, there is no danger to
the swingarm.

A couple of days ago, I wanted to remove my front wheel. Using the =
service manual, I managed to prepare my bike for front wheel removal.
When I wanted to lift the front end of the bike, I found out that it's =
neccesary to support the main frame on both sides, otherwise the bike =
will just pivot on it's center stand. I don't own a special jack for =
motorcycles.
Anyone a tip to lift the front end ina secure way ?
