Hi dave ,
BT56's are softer than BT57's
BT010's are softer than BT020's
I've tried 56's & 57's . Heres what i found,
the 57's got a flat spot after about 2000 miles, worn out at
3000. 56's lasted 5000 miles wore quite evenly , not much of a
flat spot . I'am only talking about rear tyres here.
So you ask why do the softer tyres last longer?
The only answer i have is , soft tyres give a bit on acceleration , so the
rubber doesn't get ripped off.
where as harder compounds , the rubber doesn't flex so much , and the rubber
is torn off in small amounts , hence
reason for flat spot.
Does anyone on the list have different views?
