Yeah. I like the stock setup.
I'm 5'9" but I find the position to be comfortable even on long cruises.
I have, however, noticed something that might have to do with the
comfort level.
I am not a thin person so often my stomach 'rests' on the tank which
allows my arms and wrists to not have to 'hold' me up. If I 'straight
arm' it, ie; use my arms to hold me up, they will get tired after a
point of time. If I'm pushing the bike into corners, that is the
technique that often gets used and it will get tiring after a while. On
the other hand, resting my stomach on the tank in a 'relaxed' mode of
riding allows me to ride for long periods of time with virtually no
effect on my wrists or arms, in other words, very comfortable.
So depending on riding style may influence the 'effect' of the bars.
Which begs the question. Does everyone use the same style and position
while riding or does anyone adjust to riding demands, ie; touring vs.
sporting?
