No, no ..., I'm pretty sure it was intended as humor but as can happen to all of us, if we happen to have a bad day at the office/home, some things just don't seem as funny. This can be a real problem as often things can tend to get bigger and blown out of porportion real easy. So...I believe, (correct me if I am wrong and also for speaking for you!), Bill intended to say in his own way, don't go away just because you are selling your bike.
