How I lube my chain,
I think we almost all agree on the fact that chain lubing makes sense.
Here's how I do it.
I do it every 400 to 500 kilometers.
When I get home, the chainis still warm from driving. That's when I =
clean it with kerosine or gasoline. You need to do this rather quickly =
because you don't want the chain to cool down too much.
After that I use chain lube spray by Castrol or Motul. Because the chain =
is still warm, the grease will flow into every part of the chain where =
it needs to be. This seems to work fine, my chain and sprockets look =
very good, they don't wear fast and because I'm using lube spray, it's =
hard to put on too much. The grease is white so you can see what part of =
the chain has been sprayed.
Oh, i always lube the chain from the inside and the sides. When the =
chain warms up due to riding, lubrication gets around all parts of the =
chain.
I was told by my local shop that this is the best way to lube the chain =
and have as little grease as possible swung onto the rear wheel (is this =
called rim?)
Is my shop right or does this recepy to lube make sense
