*Experience Required:* * Significant experience in all phases of the software development life cycle and specifically Database Lifecycle (around 8-10 years) * At least four to five years experience in the design, development and support of large Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence related databases and applications. Some prior experience *supporting applications using SAS and Business Objects is a plus.* * Strong background in Data Warehousing design principles and methodologies (ex. *Star schema design*) and can apply them as needed * In-depth knowledge of DB2 UDB (Multi Partition), MS SQL Server and strong system level (AIX) and infrastructure (TSM, EMC, SAN, RAID etc.) understanding. At least *five to six years of experience on DB2 UDB (*including Versions 7 and 8) and four to five years of experience with *SQL Server (including versions 2000 and 2005).* * Proficient in UNIX scripting * Experience in resolving software integration problems. * Knowledeable on tools and technologies like Websphere, DB2 Information Integrator and MQ series. * May require 24X7 production support for the databases * Excellent analytical ability, strong consultative and communication skills * BS in Computer Science or equivalent Skills which are highlighted are must and mandatory. *2) Role: Data Architect with 10+ yrs of exeprience.* *Location: Torrance, California (Must be Local)* - *Needs at least 8 to 12 years experience in IT industry* with *4-5 years in the data architecture* and/or database administration area. Data Architecture experience should include *Data Modeling, Analysis and Profiling*. At least 2 years of recent experience with *Erwin Data Modeling Tools*. - Also, should have *3 to 5 years of experience with data modeling*, data analysis and data migration in a mainframe environment with databases like *DB2 and/or IMS *and* VSAM*. - Experience and knowledge in Service Oriented Architectures (*SOA*) and web based development in an n-tier environment. - Understanding/experience with IBM technologies such as DB2 Information Integrator, DB2 Replication, WebSphere Classic Federation Server, Websphere Process Server, WebSphere Data Event Publisher, DB2Connect, JDBC would be a significant plus. - Prior experience developing and deploying DB2 Stored procedures using SQL, COBOL and/or Java would be useful. - Strong background and experience in RDBMS like *DB2 (Mainframe and UDB), SQL Server **and* using *SQL*. - Prior experience with programming in *Mainframe and Unix*environemnts (Cobol and Unix shell scripting) is a plus. - Prior experience with Data warehousing and Reporting and tools like *Informatica and Business Objects, Crystal Reports is a plus.* - Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong prior experience in documenting the design specifications including data interface specifications and/or data mappings. - Must be experienced in project management and assist the project manager on the project status for the data services team. - May require some occasional travel to other Honda facilities. - *Automobile industry experience is a definite plus.* - BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
