... and I would expect this version to ship in Debian for another ~3-5 years, unless it gets removed from Debian bullseye before the upcoming (real soon now) release! But if lzip substitutes are still supported, I *think* guix 1.2.0 as packaged in Debian still supports that, at least. Dropping both gzip and lzip would be unfortunate; I don't think it would be trivial to backport the zstd patches to guix 1.2.0, as it also depends on guile-zstd? live well, vagrant
