Well, yes, but...

  $ guix refresh --list-dependent coreutils
  Building the following 5070 packages would ensure 11826 dependent
  packages are rebuilt: ...

So a pretty large rebuild ... maybe 1/4 or 1/5 of guix (have not kept
track of how many packages there are currently)?

I guess one could package coreutils-next or something and use it for the
release hash generation...
