It is hard to argue whether the test will fail: If most (or even better: all) committers respond, let's say, within a week, then the guix-devel list and (at least) a message flagged with [COMMITTERS] reaches them. The system works and we are fine with the current situation. If, let's say, only 1/3 of committers respond within a week, then we should figure out why that is: - Are they (currently) inactive (meaning: they are also not pushing to master)? - Has the message not reached them? - Did they not feel like having to respond to this test (which is understandable)? If they are currently inactive or did for whatever reason read the message but not respond, all is well, but if the message does not reach them even though they are currently active, then we have a problem. I'm curious, but somehow expect a positive outcome. Thanks for taking part and voicing your questions! gabber
