(In both senses.) Hi,
To everyone: a reminder that, by definition, all contributors agree to abide by the Guix Code of Conduct[0]. Too many recent posts fall short of it. You don't need to think our CoC exceptionally... stellar (I don't), or that 'good conduct' can be formalised (I don't), but that's also kind of the point: it indicates the absolute bare bleeping *minimum* that we expect from each other. Please feel free to exceed it. Also, let's strive for the spirit it evokes and not sto(o)p at whatever you think the text technically allows. One particular low point is the ill characterisation of another contributor posted here[1]. This is flat-out unacceptable. The software used to write or post it is irrelevant. To anyone thinking they can exploit some CoC loophole to subvert our community standards: don't. It is enforced using common sense, so use yours. To Bost, specifically: this is your public warning[2] that your recent behaviour (including but not limited to [1]) violates said Code of Conduct. As a consequence, you must avoid any kind of interaction with Ricardo for a period of two weeks, starting now and ending on 1 October. Even more importantly, understand why it violates the norms we try to uphold. Y'alls in peace, Tobias and the GNU Guix maintainers [0]: https://codeberg.org/guix/guix/raw/commit/78a64eadc35e4be92ef78c1b3b0ca6d684ea9c1f/CODE-OF-CONDUCT [1]: https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/guix-devel/2026-09/msg00065.html [2]: https://codeberg.org/guix/guix/src/commit/78a64eadc35e4be92ef78c1b3b0ca6d684ea9c1f/CODE-OF-CONDUCT#L71
