Hi,

I’m concerned that replacing components just because we prefer the
language is not a good reason.

There already exists many implementations of udev, it would be good to
at least produce an in-depth comparison before jumping to a personal
favorite.

Why are we trying to replace eudev in the first place?

The same goes with rewriting libudev in Rust: great, you just produced
the same software, but without the security updates, the maintainers
and the years of community around it.

Please, avoid replacing core libraries and components in Guix without a
very good reason.

Have a nice day,
Noé
