Could you pl advice the contact number and address of this band, as the Cuncolim association of
Mumbai, who are celebrating their 75 year in exitance on the 6th of Feb.2005 are looking at the option of
hiring a band from Goa to give the celebration a goan touch.
I am the Hon Joint secretary of the association.

The latest on the music scene of Goa is a new Band called "GOAN TOUCH'. It's a band that promises to change the music scene in Goa especially at Goan Weddings.
According to Mr.Ron Fidelis, Manager of the Band, GOAN TOUCH will make Goan Weddings really Goan giving a touch of Goa at every stage. For every set the Band will play, there will be atleast one Konkani Number, to begin with. So also the medley will be with a totally Goan Touch.
Further the Bridal Special, for the first time, has been especially composed in Konkani for our Goan couples. The costumes of the Band members will portray an Unique Goan look. And to top it all the main Vocalist of the Band is none other than the leading Voice of Goa ...SHARON who will be singing both English and Konkani numbers. Yes, it's the same Sharon who melodious voice has immortalized "Moddgonvam Prasar" and 'Pausacho Dis".
Unlike other bands, Goan Touch is a seven-member band including another female vocalist RINKU.
GOAN TOUCH is led by Mr. N.E.Diniz, a qualified musician and Principal of N.E.Diniz Music School, Borda. GOAN TOUCH will perform 100% live music with no sequencing at all.
The idea originated in the mind of 'Ron Fidelis' that as of now Goans who boast about their love for Goa and Konkani mostly have their weddings totally in English. The Band singers sings English songs, the Compere speaks English and most of the time the toast-master also raises the toast in English. So what is Goan in a Goan wedding.
The staff and students of Diniz Music School put their heads together to bring in a change and the result is GOAN TOUCH. The cream on the cake was.... they already had SHARON with them who could pull the crowds with her melodious voice (rightly dubbed 'TheVoice of Goa'). The Band is a mix of Experience and Youth - a thorough blend called GOAN TOUCH.
Mr.N.E.Diniz is into music for the last 30 years, having led dance bands like LEGACY in the past. Francis Fernandes has been playing Lead Guitar for the last 25 years and has played for bands like 'SPLIT IMAGE' (Mumbai), 'MUSIC SOUL' N 'NEW WORLD' in Goa. Cedric Baptist has been playing the Bass Guitar for the last 16 years. Eddison Fernandes has learnt the keyboard from Diniz Music Insatitute and has been playing the organ for the last three years. Adarsh Kudchadkar plays the drums zestfully and also plays the tabla. Rinku is into music since childhood and has won several awards for singing. Sharon Mazarello is into music since childhood. She has been a crooner for Mumbai based bands earlier and is a leading Theatre Artiste, playwright, director and singer of the Konkani stage. Has studied music and keyboards through Diniz Music Institute and is the Director of Theatre Art & Cultural Training Institute, Goa.
