SURIA-CHO PROKAS KUWAIT XHARANT

 

 

After the success of �Mog�, PETEROSHAN Productions has completed yet another 60 minute feature film �SURIA� slated for release on January 14, 2005 in Kuwait at the "Heritage Musical Show '05".  "Suria� (Sun) - a metaphor used for noble gestures and genuine intentions of the protagonist of the story, Peter-Roshan weave a tale depicting family values rooted deep into the core fabric of our society.  A splendid display of talents by the star cast, the movie boasts of an impressive acting by Peter and Roshan themselves.

The petite Roshan has once again proved her mettle by giving a lively performance. An emotional scene wherein Peter returns back to his house has been shot very meticulously capturing a desolate and helpless Peter which could be passed as a crux of his acting prowess.  

 

Joseph Rodrigues, the flamboyant character artiste, has given a good performance to an author backed role. Joseph is well-known in Goa and also for his character roles in some recently staged tiatrs in Kuwait.  Also Rosalia, well known artiste among the tiatr fraternity for winning Best Actress Award for three consecutive years at the Kala Academy "All Goa Tiatr Competition" displays her unique natural flair for acting.  Ana has also ably supported the cast and fits in the role easily. The performance leaves the viewers spellbound with a gripping urge to reach to the climax.

 Cajie Collin, Polly, and Comedian Sally in miniscule roles do their part well. �Mhozo suria mhaka uzvadd diupacho bondh zalo� and �aum tuzo suria zaun tukam uzvadd ditolom� are some of the dialogues which touch the raw chords and compel the viewers to sway with emotions with the characters.

Written, lyrics, produced and directed by Peter & Roshan, the film has music by Vishnu and background music by Brian. The film has been shot at some very picturesque locales in the suburbs using the rustic shades of Goa.  Filmed by Brian and edited by Sayad Fayaz at Nasreen Digital Images (Margao), �SURIA� promises to be a bright sunshine in the history of Konknni films and film-making.
