Draw of G.O.A Rolling Trophy held
The draw for the 12th edition of G.O.A. Rolling Trophy being organized by Goan Overseas Association (Kuwait) was held at the Village Inn Restaurant on 2nd March 2005 at 7:30 pm. This prestigious soccer tournament being organized under the auspices of KIFF and sponsored by Bassem International Trading Co. (Charles D'Sa) will commence on 1st April 2005.
In the presence of the Managing Director of Bassem International Trading Co., Charles D'Sa and his spouse, Nora D'Sa, participating team officials, KIFF representatives and the G.O.A. managing committee, the draw was conducted by G.O.A. Sports Secretary, Clifford Fortes.
G.O.A. President, Raymond D'Sa welcomed the guests and hoped that the tournament would be played in the true spirit of the game. Charles D'Sa in his brief speech reiterated his commitment to promoting sports in the community and wished all the fourteen participating teams good luck.
Following is the tentative schedule of matches:-
Group A :
Navelim Youth Centre, Veterans United, Santos Football Club, Paradiso, United Friends Club, Viva Goa, Goa Maroons (G.O.A.).
Group B :
Kerala Challengers, Curtorcares United, CRC Chinchinim, United Goans Centre, Bombay Boys, Rising Stars, AVC Sports Club.
