 Height of hypocrisy 


Could we ever dream of being a hypocrite? Definitely not! This would be the immediate reply. But in Goan politics, we can see a great number of hypocrites who have failed till date to have done any self introspection of their public life. They crave for better life through unfair means in the guise of saviors at the alter of politics of the State. We have number of self professed leaders in Goa who proclaim themselves to be the protectors of our Goan culture and heritage. The heritage that has been left in ruins at the cost of development of the State of Goa. The development that takes place in the Communidade land of Goa at the behest of the sons of the soil.I wonder where those leaders are who wept for the rising unemployment in Goa. The leaders who all cry and weep through their nose to see that Goa is the best state in India in health and hygiene of its citizens. And they also show concern in public for the aged population of this State. Their hearts bleed
 to overcome the murders and robberies in the State. Take the look at the leaders who are masquerading as God sent saviors whose only passion is to serve and plunder the State with impunity. The leaders who have amassed wealth have now substituted their likes and skill to investing in fishing trawlers, at the cost of the people of Goa, who enjoyed special privileges to access the subsidy. So goes with the mining trucks and heavy duty machinery which has been exploited by the other owners and rendered them jobless. 
Most of the lucrative projects have been hijacked by the so called political leaders by subjugating their will and the poor owners are left high and dry to fend themselves for the want of jobs, whom the loans have been haunting at large. This is the scene behind curtains of the present cult of leaders. Make merry while they occupy the chair of the party and fill their coffers to the brim for posterity. Time has come for every citizen to do some soul searching and self introspection. It�s time to shake your conscience and ask yourself, whether your hard earned vote has done any justice to the person you elected last time. Did your present MLA did any justice of being elected? Did he/she fight for the interest of Goa and your constituency? How many times did he/she visit your constituency for the last two years. How much money did you receive to vote during the last elections? Was that amount justified for selling your precious vote? Was it worth to sell your vote
 for the amount you received? And above all, now are you planning to do the same or amend your habits for a change? Come on Goans, let us fight injustice first by the sons of the soil, who have left the Goans high and dry. Let there be good cultured and honorable citizens who would be selfless leaders in the making. The leaders who would sacrifice their time and energy for the true development of Goa and Goans alike. We need leaders who will shun the caste and communalism and protect Goa for good, better and the best.�
