The Grape Escape - Ethel da Costa's upcoming event
Come May 6, 7,8 and the INOX courtyard will buzz with excitement. No, it's not a movie launch we are talking about. It is an extravagant three-day, wine, haute cuisine, rock blues, jazz and art festival, 'The Grape Escape' organised by the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) at the INOX Courtyard, Campal, Panjim.

The event produced by 'THINK GEEK' promises to be a unique cultural
experience, as the event will bring together international wine makers and local patrons, hoteliers, restaurants and professionals from the entertainment, fashion and art milieu under one common roof.

Presented in a European village setting in taste, decor, style and
ambience, the event seeks to encapsulate the vivacity of the Goan lifestyle by highlighting her multi-cultural influences and artistic passions.

As the clock strikes five on the evening of May 6, it will be one big party at Campal. Food courts presenting culinary delights from across the globe, wine tasting sessions by connoisseurs and vintners, cigar bar, international fusion cuisine by representatives and patrons of foreign diplomatic offices, exotic desserts and local spirits will be on display.

To set the mood for this flamboyant event, jazz and blues bands from Shillong, Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai will be flown into the State, backed by our very own musical talent from Goa - serenading musicians, folk musicals, spot singers and artists.

Kids will be kept busy with a host of leisure activities and an art
competition at the venue. In addition, INOX also proposes to host a mini film fiesta of the 1950 romantic classics. Hold your horse, that's not all.

Educational workshops and sessions on culinary art, presentation of food and ways of cooking up various gastronomical delights will be conducted by celebrity chefs to create audience participation. We'll be rocking. What about you?

Bands that will play:
SoulMate (Shillong), Juke box, 2 Sharp to be Flat, Midrange (Bangalore), 3D, Abhivyaktee, The Blue Trio Note, Shanti, Zero (Mumbai) and more.

Participants: The Taj Exotica, River Cafe, Coqueiro,Tito's, The Grand Intercontinental and others.

Designers: Sunipa Sammadar (Kolkata), Sushimita Das (Kolkata), Jugnu (Mumbai), Gail Gracias, plus theatre, fusion and an element of Konkani music.
