Could the melting snow cover in the Himalayas affect marine life thousands of kilometres away? Strange, but true. An abrupt decline in snowfall over the Himalayan mountain range is threatening marine life in the distant waters of the Arabian Sea, according to a study led by a Goan scientist, which appeared in the prestigious journal Science a few days ago.
