MAY BALL 2005 IN KUWAIT

The much-awaited annual extravaganza the 'May Ball 2005", organized by the Goan Welfare Society was held on May 12 at Safir Palace Hotel, Riggae. The highlights of the event were the ceremony of May Queen, Ideal Weekend Man, novelty special, ballroom dancing and a sumptuous buffet.

Rosh was judged May Queen while Sasha Lasrado and Divya were first and second runner-up respectively.

The main sponsors of the event were Damas Jewellers, Mughal Mahal and Siemens, while the co-sponsors were Indian Airlines, Al-Mulla International Trading and Contracting Co., Air India, Sports Corner Co., Canon, JW Marriot, Al-Mulla Car Rental, Jashanmal, Bank of Kuwait and the Middle East (BKME), Al-Rashed International Shipping Co., and others.

The winners at the ball walked away with diamonds, air tickets, electronics, cosmetics, travel luggage sets and many other things.

"Stepping Stones" and "City Limits" in the company of compere Lloyd D'Souza kept the crowd grooving till the the wee hours.
