Rane sworn in as chief minister

Pratapsing Raoji Rane was sworn in as the chief minister of Goa in a simple ceremony at Cabo Raj Niwas today morning at 10.07 am.
Dr Wilfred de Souza of Nationalist Congress Party took oath as a deputy chief minister while Maharastrawadi Gomantak Party�s lone MLA Sudin Dhavalikar was given oath as a cabinet minister.
Both NCP and MGP are alliance partners in the Congress led government. There are nine more ministerial slots vacant in the cabinet, which are likely to be filled in a day or two.
