DHAAGO - FEATURES

As a reflection of the society,  Diogo in his dramas has always highlighted social issues with a backdrop of family values and marriage institution.  DHAAGO, yet another superbly scripted social drama fights for her identity and self respect of a woman in the society, in her house and in the sanctity of matrimony. From a director overtly  obsessed with women-oriented issues: a woman - a homemaker, a woman - a home breaker, a woman - a pacemaker, a woman - a passionate healer, a woman – a role model, a woman of substance, et all, Diogo tries to explore and reveal the real woman on the stage.

Filmed at Rabindra Bhavan Curchorem in a record period of 4 days and edited by Lobo Digital Studio, Panaji, under the supervision of Chief Technical Advisor, Sandip Kalangutkar, DHAAGO retains its original cast and crew including Rosalia Rodrigues, Luis DÂ’Mello, Shirish Naik, Sandra Rodrigues, Manuel Fernandes, Arnaldo Crasto, Dynicia Fernandes, Rosy Alphonso, Austin Rodrigues and Jackson de Loutolim in stellar performances.

A huge set designed by Ajit Salgaonkar, Light Effects from Nilesh Mahale, Lyrics penned by Luis Rodrigues, and soothing Background Music from  Sai de Panjim are some of the salient features that accentuate the meticulous efforts from the producer Joaquim Alphonso to turn DHAAGO in a spellbinding entertainer. The musical entourage provided by Philip de Chandor and Luis Rodrigues, Ivo De Benaulim, Seby Moraes and Jose De Loutolim support the singers and other cast.

The DHAAGO VCD also features the sensational star-couple combination Peter-Roshan, popular Duo Bab Andrew-Bab Albert, the laugh-riot T. Britton, Master Victor, Assis Mendes, Lumen and Lincoln Araujo   Victor sing “DEFEIT that won him the first prize at the Academy Competition 2004.   LOGIN by Assis Mendes was won the merit Certificate in the Tiatr Competition 2004 and also their third Place at the Kala Academy organized Kantaram Competition.   ‘CHEDVANCHICH CHUKÂ’ by Sandra Rodrigues bagged first place at Kala Academy Tiatr Competition 2003.
