FAREWELL FOOTBALL MATCH - Between Gerard XI and Cedric XI An Exhibition Football match has been organized by AVC Football Club to bid farewell to Gerard Lobo and Cedric D'Sa who will be leaving Dubai for greener pastures.
Both Gerard and Cedric who work in Dubal are leaving to different parts of the world. After 19 years in Dubai, Gerard chose to settle down under in Australia while Cedric has decided to migrate to Canada after 12 years in Dubai. The match will be played on 19th August 2005 at 5.15 pm sharp on Dubai Exile Football grounds. The Chief Guest will be Mr. Em Hughes, Manager - Residential Club, Jebel Ali and the Guest of Honour will be Mr. Moses R. Colaco of AVC Football Club. All friends and wellwishers are welcomed to witness the farewell football match. Gerard Lobo: Was a successful team manager with Guirim & Sangolda. He had a knack of scouting new talent and selecting players to form a winning combination. He was unanimously voted the best team manager on several occassions. He managed the Goa Team that defeated Kerala Team on two occassions. Cedric D'Sa: In India, Cedric represented South Gujrat University in soccer. In Dubai, initially Cedric played for the AVC Football Team. He also represented Goa XI in Dubai and later on proved to be an inspiration to the Club. Behind the scene he provided valuable advice & support to AVC club. ------------------------ Yahoo!
