![Abigail;s Party DVD Box]()
While a neighbour's daughter celebrates her 15th birthday with a noisy houseparty the girl's mother joins a few other neighbours next door for a quiet evening of drinks, chit chat, sniping, groping and tragedy....What a cocktail!
Heather Baillie and Kim Ward steal the show in Ryan O'Neill's production of the Mike Leigh classic, Abigail's Party. With excellent support from David Allcock, Graham Nash and an unusually quiet Kirsty McDonagh as Sue, this 'insignificant' Party left KLT audiences delighted in a slightly offbeat way during May 2005.
Mike Leigh's script manages to go nowhere while at the same time proving wildly entertaining as we are invited to spend an evening with five less than riveting characters. Revel in the recipes for Pilchard Curry, the tragic tale of Musical Chairs and the secrets of Van Gogh as you enjoy the whole party live in your living room on this KLT DVD |
Pick up your copy in the foyer at the next KLT event - Just 7KD. |
