AIFF proposes 39 names as National players

Thirty nine names have been  proposed to be declared as national players in a draft handed over to all NFL club officials that met with office bearers of the All India Football Federation last month, in New Delhi.
Besides naming these 39 senior players, the AIFF has also put forward players names for the national under-23, 19 and 17 squads.
The AIFF also made a few important suggestions to the NFL clubs, which includes naming of the 22 star players, according to the latest performance and fitness at the end of year. It was also debated that the players should be called except for the last 10 days for the synchronisation camp before departure.
Most of the clubs more or less accepted the suggestion but requested to reduce the number of days to a week.
The Federation also asked the clubs whether they would like a full AIFF camp training plan and competition calendar sent them before the seasons begins as that would help them plan programme with their technical team.
The AIFF also asked the clubs if they preferred to declare a list of 40 probables each of senior and junior levels before the transfer season to enable them plan the team composition during recruitment.
The AIFF will further discus the issue when it’s Executive Committee meets on September 7, taking note of the Clubs’ feedback on the issue.
The following are the names of the senior players proposed:
