You may check it under Maharasta State. Also you may check under the different links
provided. Who knows you might find someone from Goa you might know who now lives
in Orissa or Andra Pradesh.

UN Compensation for Indian Citizens during Iraqi Invasion

Minister of State for External Affairs, Shri E Ahamed informed the Lok Sabha (Lower House of Parliament) that UN Compensation Commission has sent India a list of 8,615 claimant Indian citizens worked in Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion, whose claim amounts were returned to the Commission because they could not be located within the period allowed by the body for disbursement of a particular lot.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, the list has been given to four nationalised banks designated for the task of disbursement of the Persian Gulf War compensation.
The minister said that a total number of 1,51,851 claims by Indian citizens from all the four categories were registered with Special Kuwait Cell, Minister of External Affairs. These aggregated to a total amount of US$ 1,512,394,943 and a total amount of US$ 948,151,360.53 was received from the UN Compensation commission for all categories.
Out of this, a total amount of US$ 917,575,243.36 has been paid as of August 2005 to the claimants for all categories.
