Farewell to Most Rev. Giuseppe De Andrea
  





Kuwait Sep 17: Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA) and CAESARS Group of Hotels jointly bade farewell to the Arch Bishop Most Rev. Giuseppe De Andrea on the 16th September 2005 at Hotel Caesars, Fahaheel. 

Mr.Lawrence D'Souza, MD of Caesars group of hotels, Mr.Pascal Pinto, Rev.Fr.Melwin D'Cunha, Sisters of Carmel School and the members of KCWA were present on this occasion, which was followed by a delicious lunch hosted and served by Caesars Hotels.

Kuwait, September 12: Parisheners of Holy Redeemers Chapel, Salmiya gathered on 10th September at the Chapel for the concelebrated mass and farewell ceremony held in honor of Apostolic Nuncio to Kuwait, Yemen, Bahrain & Qatar Archbishop Giuseppe De Andrea, on the occasion of concluding his tenure. 


After a formal welcome to the Archbishop De Andrea, Fr. Melwyn D’Cunha, Fr. Tony D’souza, Fr. Lionel Brganza and Fr. Derrick Misquita joined him in celebration of mass. Large number of people attended the ceremony. Chapel Choir rendered beautiful hymns most of them in Latin, which the Archbishop appreciated very highly.

After the mass a short farewell ceremony was held. On behalf of the parisheners Parish Priest Fr. Melwyn D’Cunha thanked the Archbishop De Andrea. He said that during his tenure as the Vatican’s Ambassador to Kuwait Archbishop De Andrea has touched the hearts of all the people by extending his love and friendship to everyone he came in contact with. A memento was then offered to the Archbishop by Fr. Melwyn as a token of appreciation for his service. Fr. Tony D’souza SDB thanked the outgoing Archbishop on behalf the Don Bosco Priests.
