THE SHOWMEN, X-PAT, DON BOSCO WHITE, FOOTY FANTASTIC IN QUARTERS - 3rd DON BOSCO RINK FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

Below are the results of day three, four and five of the Don Bosco Rink
Football Tournament being organized at the Indian English Academy School
(Salmiya - Kuwait) by the Past Pupils of Don Bosco.

DAY 3           8TH OCTOBER 2005

X Pats beat Hello Boyz (7-1)

Brulio of X Pats became the highest scorer in the tournament so far when
he was instrumental in the demolition of Hello Boyz by netting 3.  Kenny
2, Anthony 1 and Custodio 1 added to the tally.  Hello Boyz were no
match for the vastly experienced opponents.

Showmen drew with Big Joe's (1-1)
Easily the best match of the tournament, the Showmen took an early lead
through Larry's perfect penalty.  However, Big Joe's who are title
contenders and  made up of young and skilful players like Roy, Alex,
Rajesh, Ronnie put a lot of pressure on The Showmen, who finally
succumbed to the perfect goal by Alex.  The Showmen made up of Jose Rod,
Julio, Lloyd, Aggy, Duarte and Larry are all experienced players and
matched their opponents in all departments.

A.G.A.M drew with Game Boys (0 - 0)
In another exciting match, A.G.A.M made up of youngsters could not get
past Game Boys and the end score remained nil.

Footy Fantastic drew with Soccer Maniacs (0 - 0)
Footy Fantastic made up of Carmel School boys are the crowd favourites
and their game with Soccer Maniacs was an exciting one.  However,
neither team could break the deadlock and the teams shared the points.

DAY 4           9th OCTOBER 2005

Bombay Boys beat Hello Boyz (7-1)
In an one sided match, Bombay Boys easily defeated Hello Boyz.  Edwin
scored 4, Milagres 1 and Jose 2. 

Don Bosco - Blue lost to X-Pat (1-2)
X-Pats with Brulio again in top form got the better of Don Bosco (Blue)
by the odd goal.  Brulio scored both the goals for X-Pats while Assad
reduced the margin for Don Bosco Blue.


DAY 5           10th OCTOBER 2005

The Showmen trashed Companeros Red (5-1)
In true showmen style Lloyd, Larry (2) Aggy and Jose Rod scored for the
Showmen while Amaldo scored the only consolation goal for Companeros
Red. 
With this win, The Showmen ensured qualification into the quarterfinals.



Footy Fantastic beAt Companeros Yellow (2-0)
These young lads once again proved that simplicity in their soccer with
amazing individual skills could easily get them past Companeros Yellow.
Joel and Rohan scored for Footy Fantastic.

Bombay Boys beat Kuwait Independents (3-0)
Edwin scored the fastest goal of the tournament in 18 seconds and from
than on it was Bombay Boys all the way.  Kuwait Independents must be
credited for trying their very best, especially Benny, but the stamina
of the younger and fitter Bombay Boys was their undoing.  Edwin scored
all the 3 goals for Bombay Boys.

Don Bosco White trashed A.G.A.M (3-0)
Deemed as the match of the day, it started in exciting fashion when
Steven converted for Don Bosco from a perfect Philip pass.  Don Bosco
easily the tournament favourites outplayed A.G.A.M and Philip scored
twice to ensure victory for Don Bosco.  Kevin and Vicky tried their best
but could not get past strongmen Terence and Jeffery in the Don Bosco
defence.
