Please someone check my work. As per GURPS Magic [4e]
p.20,
Cost = 20xP + (10xP^2 + 40xP) / (1/54^P)
I'm putting numbers into Excel, to look at costs for
powerstones, and the formula given seems to be fine,
except for where it says "the true materials cost is
divided by 1/54 to the power of P."
That's a BIG number!
It also doesn't fit with the costs given on the chart.
For the formula given, a Power 1 stone costs
~$2,720...
A Power 20 stone is 2.13362E+38...
If you leave out that part, then a Power 1 stone costs
$70, which fits, but a Power 20 stone costs $5,200.
Closer than a number written in notation, but still
off by ~30%
"Nemo Malus Felix" - No Peace For The Wicked
And shepherds we shall be
For thee, my Lord, for thee
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand
So feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands
So we will flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls shall it ever be
In Nomeni Patri Et Fili Spiritus Sancti
Angelix knows. You don't.
