The characters in my game just took down a very powerful creature who's Soul is hidden away using the Soul Stone spell. The creature regenerates like crazy (I am using a rule where regeneration = 1/5 of HT and the creature had a 75 HT). The characters were pretty thorough in destroying it though. (They cut off its head, then burned it using a 6d6 Flame Jet for a good 10 mins).
You like high-power games, then?
Would this creature continue to regenerate after such destruction? What I mean is, would its body eventually regenerate out of the ashes, or will it be forced into finding a new body?
I'd say the current body is dead. -10 x HT means that a body is completely destroyed. It regenerates 15 hp/turn, but the 6d6 flame jet does an average of 21 points of damage/turn, or 7 points/turn above regeneration. For ten minutes, that's 4200 points of damage, well in excess of the 825 required to destroy the body utterly (assuming you're starting from no damage). If that doesn't do it, nothing will. -- My wife's food blog is quite interesting: http://thehappysorceress.blogspot.com _______________________________________________ GurpsNet-L mailing list <[email protected]> http://mail.sjgames.com/mailman/listinfo/gurpsnet-l
