I think it was two years ago that I was blown away at a conference by one of the keynotes that had trained a chimp with this similar interface. I'm blown away again that they've clearly expanded its capabilities and applied it to humans in such a short time. Money talks. And chimps are closer to us than rats are.
How many of us will go get chips implanted when it becomes more mainstream? Maybe not too long. How long before DVD players went from cool/luxurious to $30 at Best Buy? It'll be a whole new market for neurosurgeons. Elective chip implantation. Damn... went into the wrong field. -vk -- "We are not permitted to choose the frame of our destiny, but what we put into it is ours." --Dag Hammersjold "When the rate of change outside an organization exceeds the rate of change inside it, then it is not a matter of if, but when that organization will fail." --Jack Welch "Just keep swimming/just keep swimming/just keep swimming swimming swimming..." --Dorie from Finding Nemo -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > http://www.popularmechanics.com/blog/science/3344501.html > > > _______________________________________________ > GurpsNet-L mailing list <[email protected]> > http://mail.sjgames.com/mailman/listinfo/gurpsnet-l _______________________________________________ GurpsNet-L mailing list <[email protected]> http://mail.sjgames.com/mailman/listinfo/gurpsnet-l
