Interesting what is is worth.. I think the wgt is a
bit bunch.
I normally carry 1 book in my car, 1 in backpack when
I travel, a # in my luggage, 1 by the computer, 1 in
the Living room, 1 in Game Room, and 1 in the
Bedroom...
I used to keep a novel in my jacket pocket, a couple or a few in my
backpack, and my main contribution to my home's decor tends to be
stacks of books next to where I sit.
Now, though, I have a handheld PC (a HP Jornada 720, to be precise)
with a quarter-gig CompactFlash nonvolatile storage, on which I keep a
large collection of things to read - fiction (I just copied the
stories from www.wulfarchives.com today), non-fiction (eg, the Nuclear
Weapons FAQ), a significant subset of the collection from
www.sacred-texts.com , and more (eg, the local bus company's website
with its maps and schedules). (Plus it has a calculator, a city
streetmap, a chess program, a wireless network card, and a 56k dial-up
modem for when WiFi isn't available.) And all for about $130.
And it's almost as good as walking a dog to attract interested
comments from nearby strangers... ah, technology.
So, would such a machine count for the Mitigator limitation on this
Bookworm disadvantage? :)
Thank you for your time,
