This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml Onno Meyer, 2009-09-14
SpinDevCorp SeaCab Light DSV v1.0 (GURPS Traveller TL7) Copyright 2009 by Onno Meyer The SeaCab Deep Submergence Vehicle is used on many frontier worlds in the Spinward Marches. Usually SeaCabs are constructed from imported kits including the titanium hull components and the isotope battery. The DSV has a cylindrical pressure hull with seats for the passengers and crew in front, a cargo hold near the center and the power system in the rear. There are dorsal and ventral docking hatches, but no airlock, so the pressure has to be equalized first. This can be a problem if an undersea base is not at surface pressure. The SeaCab navigates with an array of hydrophones and a powerful light under the tiny viewports. Subassemblies: Body +4. The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third printing, January 2007 errata], VXi and VXii (including the armor volume rule) with the text format from Vehicles Lite. GURPS Traveller affects the design decisions, but not the available technology at this TL. Next Week: A larger variant. _______________________________________________ GurpsNet-L mailing list <[email protected]> http://mail.sjgames.com/mailman/listinfo/gurpsnet-l
