But the fun of Avatar is that its not just humanoid sentients fighting
humanoid sentients, but its a planet and ecosystem fighting for its life,
and it need not use normal means to invade.
1) Accidental - much like how Algae and like life goes from port to port on
a ship. The ship comes into port, it stays for a few days, the algae
connects to the hull, and next poor the algae gets off and months to years
later it clogs the port with its life.
2) Directed low intensity, the algae is sent to Earth the same way but its
directed to cause problems, to connect wth local ecosystem (possible) or as
it believes (Pandora, or one spirit tree) that Earths eco-system aka Gaia is
dead, it will then take over, slow and may take centuries but ..
3) Directed high intensity, what many think about invasion, but need not be
high tech like our machines and STL (Slower than Life) ships, but via trees
shaped into ships (See Moya from Farscape for a close example, or the Bugs
use of genetics to modify life into something larger and useful for surface
defense and more.. Missions the same as what we use, but instead of
mechanical it is organic.. Shaped by natural genetics or modified life form
into a ship, that can go into space (see the Magnetic floating islands? same
force as what we use, but from a different angle), and then to Earth in 10
years or so, and then invade? Either the same as how the Earth would, or
more low key?
Never know they migth get their faster, like how the Bugs did via Worm
Holes?
Never know, could lead to many changes on Earth? What minerals or life is on
Earth that is NOT on Pandora?
Also never know, the unabtainium could be a carrier of the life from Pandora
(not likely, but ...)..
Imagine an Earth where humanity is in the minority, cause the life from
Pandora has taken over?
I remember the scenese from the last Star Wars movie, with all the buildings
but no life, other than many bacteria/viruses and like small stuff but no
greeen?
Wild since the Jedi Temple was located there? Maybe part of why Yoda moved
to .... its full of life, and not death or life but not the mechanical of
the Imperial Capital?
Or we go with a Geiger idea of life that is mechanical? Grin.. Or of
Galactica or SG-A?
Mike
Alaska
Avatar - Amazon or Native Americans in South America or ... something more?
Got the DVD out, its about saving the trees, grin.
