Hola Servilio Me parece que tienes alguna confusión. En un servidor físico tu puedes instalar cualquier sistema operativo que soporte el board. Ya sea software libre como Linux, etc..... o Windows en las versiones que pueda soportar. Está claro que en un server en Windows puedes montar virtualbox y con el virtualizar algunas PC con cualquier sistema Operativo.
En una PC con Ubuntu también hay una aplicación Bochs, Virtualbox , KVM etc. Pero también puedes instalar en un server físico el sistema Operativo por asi decir que te permite virtualizar máquinas y servidores como son los que te mencionaron. .
