This tool exports the view not the source image file. The selected 
rectangle will contain all layers loaded and the resolution that you 
select is the output resolution (NxN pixels).

gvSIG has other tool to clip a raster layer. With this other tool you 
can select the area from the view but you clip the raster source and 
only for the selected layer. The other layers loaded won't be taken into 
account.
