Dear all,

One of sorriest things about gvSIG has always been
the way in which platform-dependent binaries (e.g.
GDAL, ECW for raster data formats) were treated.
It's a big mess: nobody knows where the most up-to-date
ones are and how to produce them.

I am going to change that situation for gvSIG CE now,
by updating the native libraries (JNI bindings) and
adding documentation to the Wiki. This is of crucial
importance for packaging GRASS GIS and SAGA.

For this reason, I will delete the following (outdated)
folders from our SVN:

libjni-ecw
libjni-gdal
libjni-mrsid
libjni-potrace
libjni-proj4

... and replace them with newer versions (from the
3D extension projects) over the next hours. If you
have checked out these folders from our SVN, please
disconnect them first (!), delete them from your hard
disk and then check them out again once they appear
in the SVN.

Sorry about any disruptive effects this may have, but
it's necessary to clean up at this point.

Cheers,

Ben
