I have several Passport drives and they will not work with the Book Sense as there is, as Raul says, not enough power to run both devices.

I have 2 drives that are 1 terrabyte each and are self powered with A C adapters and are fat32. They do work with the Book Sense!

Hello Shannon. I have not personally tried it, but I doubt it for the reason that the BookSense may not provide enough power for the drive to work. In addition, the drive would need to be using the FAT32 file system rather than the default NTFS file system since BookSense won't read anything using NTFS.

Many thanks.

Hello. I was wondering if one of those Western digital passport drives
can be used in the book sense? Have any of you used one, and does it
work well?
